Busy Day in Manorville. On Friday April 15th at 3:19PM, Manorville FD was activated to respond to a Deck Fire at 440 Moriches Middle Island Road. Chief Danowski was first on scene and confirmed a working Structure Fire at the rear of the house on the deck with extension into the house. Home owners where cooking on the deck with multiple barbeques. Engine 5-16-7 was first on scene, with ladder 5-16-6 2nd due. Engine 5-16-2 was 3rd due, along with Rescue 5-16-1. 5-16-10,11, & 12 (Fire Police) took care of Traffic control on the busy road. Manorville Crews made a quick stop on the fire and where able to control the fire that burned into the inside of the Home. Chief Danowski called in Center Moriches FD to stand by at Manorville HQ to cover for any additional alarms. While operating at the structure fire, Suffolk County Fire advised Manorville of a 2nd alarm, reported back yard fire on Bauer Ave. Center Moriches Engine 5-4-1 and Manorville Truck 5-16-4 responded and had active brush fire in the rear yard. Both units extinguished the brush fire. All Units where released form Both Alarms by 5:25PM.
