On Saturday, March 20th @ 0800 Hours, Manorville FD hosted a Brush Fire Preparation Drill in Manorville Hills County Park. Besides the horse and walking trails, this park has 6 Fire Rescue roads for the Fire Department to use in case of a brush fire or rescue. Last year the Manorville Fire Department worked with Suffolk County Parks and Team Rubicon to clean up the rescue roads so the department could use them if needed for an emergency. In preparation of Brush Fire Season, the Manorville FD hosted a preparation drill and drove through the fire recue roads to make sure the roads are still passable with our brush trucks.
